Merate Allora

Hi,   We are Rob and Vikki and we are the owners of Merate Allora, which we run as a nudist property.

We would like to tell you how we came about and show you some pictures, and if you like what you see and you are a nudist, then maybe you would like to visit with us

We bought this piece of property[12.9 acres] on a backwater of the River Murray 18years ago. It was covered from one end to the other in lignum bush and we set about clearing some of it for habitation. We lived in a caravan with annex at first ,pretty basically but as time went by we began to improve on things.

THEN WE BECAME NUDISTS and as nudist friends started to visit with us we decided to advertise a little and share our place with just basic facilities for just a small donation to cover costs.

We keep Merate Allora going by ourselves as we are not affiliated with any club or committee and are not a business. There are so many people who don't want the politics of clubs, committees, rules and regulations and such things, but just a quiet peaceful getaway which is what we have on offer here. The only rule here being to have common respect for us, other nudists and their property.

Over the years we have found there are more nudists wanting to visit, it becoming known either by word of mouth or by our pamphlet, so we have had to improve and extend many things. Power outlets, purchasing more modern vans and lots of general cleaning up and clearing of undergrowth and vegetation.

Our last major task was to build our own access road over to what we call the Island. Now you can drive over to the Island for those who maybe want to camp there or just walk over if you prefer. Most people seem to prefer to stay on what we call the home side, on lawned areas which we have extended a great deal, but you are free to wander or camp where you will.   The causeway road has been planted with Chilean  Willows, quite picturesque, leading to the Island where we have made a grassy sitting area and sand areas leading out into the water. There is shade here too .Most years it is quite suitable for swimming There is a shelter shed nearby with kitchen, lounge facilities. The Island also leads to a secluded bush walk , about 1.5 kms. which we keep dragged clear.

There's also newly done up playground equipment, swings, slide etc near to the pergola and soon to be a sand box. There's a new paved area by the pergola which includes a fire pit and there's various gas barbeques

So yes, any of the first visitors to Merate Allora would certainly see a lot of changes and hopefully new visitors will appreciate the spot as well. Its been a great deal of work over the years being theirs only the two of us, [occasionally a helping hand] but it has been a labor of love and we are quite proud of what we've achieved .

There will always be maintenance to do on the vans and no doubt we will see other things that we can do to improve the place, and we will listen to other peoples requests as long as they are within reason.

We have a cabin and 4 onsite vans which you can use or you can bring your own tent or van.

Regretfully we've had to raise our donation fee a little to cover the rise in power and gas. As we are couple and family orientated, we find we have had to put a limit on the amount of singles visiting at any one time. While this is unfortunate for some, it keeps our couples and families more comfortable.

Looking forward to meeting you or meeting you again sometime.
